Technique Challenge 4 (Tech04)
Wax Paper Resist
Good Morning! Glad you stopped by the technique challenge!
Today's challenge is Wax Paper Resist. It is an old technique, but a pretty one I think.
To create Your Wax Paper Resist, crumple a piece of wax paper slightly larger than the size of the glossy cardstock you'll use. Next, get some typing paper to protect your ironing board cover. Next make a sandwich--Typing paper, Glossy CS face up, wax paper, Glossy CS face down (the glossy part should touch the wax paper), typing paper. This will create two backgrounds for you to use. Just use one sheet of Glossy CS if you prefer.
Next use your iron to transfer the wax paper pattern. It is recommended not to use steam...I turned my sandwich over and ironed on that side too.
Let it cool a bit, and then you can either brayer or sponge ink over the glossy cardstock. I used three colors of ink and a sponge.
I can't wait to see what you do!
