Spotlighting

Good Morning! Glad you stopped by the technique challenge!

Today's challenge is Spotlighting (what else after Rock N Roll?).

For my spotlight, I stamped my image in a monochrome-I used Chocolate Chip, and then stamped it on another piece of cardstock adding color. For the stamp with color, I punched out a 1-1/4 inch circle in an interesting spot which will vary based on the stamp set you use. I added a 1-3/8 inch circle behind the circle of interest in the same color as the monochrome. (I tried this with this layer in Certainly Celery, and it looked terrible by the way.)

I adhered the circle layers in the proper spot and finished my card. There is a lovely example on Shelli's So Shelli blog using the hostess rooster set from the Australian Convention.
